In light of the environmental changes caused by COVID-19, IHQC and CCALAC are pleased to announce the 2020 Quality Improvement Summit Series: a three-part webinar series taking place through Fall 2020.

In the spirit of our traditional conference, the Summit Series will offer timely and practical discussions around best practices in quality improvement, access, and strategic leadership for safety net organizations. Design to Engage: How to Build Virtual Events

August 10, 2020 – November 2, 2020

About the Program: While planning and facilitating virtual meetings or learning events may have previously occurred on an infrequent basis, we are facing a new reality of using virtual meetings to advance our work on a long-term basis. There are inherent challenges in converting content that was best suited for in-person into a virtual equivalent, and many seek practical solutions for delivering meaningful and impactful sessions through this alternate medium.

In partnership with the California Improvement Network (CIN), a learning and action network focused on identifying and spreading better ideas for care delivery, the Institute for High Quality Care (IHQC), and the California Quality Collaborative (CQC), are excited to host “Design to Engage: How to Build Virtual Events.” This is a learning program led by Global Learning Partners that helps CIN Partners build their capacity to foster authentic engagement and meaningful dialogue in a virtual learning event. The program aims to go beyond the basics of navigating virtual meeting platforms, and will highlight the application of learner-centered education principles when convening groups in a virtual setting. Although the content will focus on building skills for delivering a learning event, many of the strategies and tools presented can also be applied to meetings and other convenings.

The program will run from August 10, 2020 – November 2, 2020, and will require ~2 hours of commitment each week. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in:

– Three (3) live-streamed webinar events: August 10, 2020 12:00 -1:30PM (Program Kickoff); September 21, 2020 12:00 -1:30PM (Program Mid-Point), and November 2, 2020 12:00 -1:30PM (Program Conclusion)

– A series of self-paced learning modules for team collaboration

– A facilitated forum for discussions among participants and Global Learning Partners coaches

– Tools & exercises to guide application of learnings

This program is currently in progress. Please check back for similar offerings in the future.
