Since 2018, the Institute for High Quality Care (IHQC), in partnership with the Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County (CCALAC), has hosted an annual Quality Improvement Summit, a learning event and conference uniquely dedicated to QI staff, providers, and leaders in the safety net.

Now in our fourth year, we are excited to announce the 2021 QI Summit Series, a four-part live webinar series taking place in August and September 2021!

This year, we are also offering virtual networking opportunities before each session.

People-Centered Environments: Re-Engaging Patients and Staff

The pandemics of 2020 changed everything about how patients receive care and how staff and organizations provide it. Clinics across California are continuing to provide safe, high-quality services that bring attention back to prevention and treatment of chronic conditions. Our panelists will share how their organizations have crafted new messaging and operational strategies for re-engaging patients, their families, and staff as we edge closer toward a post-pandemic environment.

Advancing Priority Measures and Data for Quality Care

Data and metrics continue to be a core element of quality improvement – in tracking progress, reporting outcomes, and informing priorities. Panelists in this session will present on a variety of perspectives around how they have leveraged data to advance specific quality measures in their organizations, including how finance and quality metrics can be assessed in tandem to ultimately demonstrate value in the organization, and how prioritizing metrics can be driven by equity considerations.

Optimizing Care Delivery: In-Person, Virtually, and Everything Between

Every healthcare provider was pushed into a lightning-fast adoption of virtual care for their patients, and many leveraged innovative technologies like remote patient monitoring. As in-person care re-enters clinical operations, organizations are seeking ways to demonstrate high-quality care, regardless of its method of delivery. This panel features lessons learned from a safety net clinic’s remote patient monitoring efforts, and an introduction to the Virtual Care Maturity Model – a framework for assessing and planning for a strategic deployment of virtual care.
